Space is neither a “limitless void,” nor a “conditioned fulness,” but both: being, on the plane of absolute abstraction, the ever-incognizable Deity, which is void only to finite minds, but on that of mayavic perception, the Plenum, the absolute Container of all that is, whether manifested or unmanifested: it is, therefore, that ABSOLUTE ALL. ... Space is called in the esoteric symbolism “the Seven-Skinned Eternal Mother-Father.” It is composed from its undifferentiated to its differentiated surface of seven layers. (1888, pp. 8-9) The whole range of physical phenomena proceed from the Primary of Aether–Akasa. ... Modern science may divide its hypothetically conceived ether in as many ways as it likes; the real Aether of Space will remain as it is throughout. It has its seven principles, as all the rest of Nature had, and where there was no Ether there would be no sound, as it is the vibrating sound-board in nature in all of its seven differentiations. This is the first mystery the Initiates of old have learned. (p. 536) The primordial nothingness–the void/plenum, in its nature as the Eternal Parent Space, has a seven fold nature. This is the ultimate Aether or root principle for all cosmic manifestations. This is an awesome and profound teaching of the archaic wisdom traditions–which anticipates the most startling and revolutionary ideas emerging within science in this twenty first century |

![]() “... the broken symmetries of a higher dimensional space yield the four big dimensions ... Perhaps the real world with its four big dimensions corresponds to the broken but stable solutions to equations describing the symmetries of a multidimensional geometry.” (physicist, H. Pagels, 1985, p. 8) “Seven hidden dimensions of the universe ... have been proposed in a theory that seeks to unify the forces of nature. ... (the seven hidden dimensions) can be pictured as a small, compact structure such as a sphere that is associated with every point in space and every moment in time.” (Freedman, Nieuwenhuizen, Scientific American, March, 1985 When it comes to explaining why the universe might happen to be founded on such a seven dimensional hyperspace, Davies raises some interesting questions concerning the meaning of it all:
![]() The latest version
of string theory is called M-theory. The ‘M’ is related to ‘membrane,’
although Atkins suggests that it might be also in reference to ‘the mother
of all theories,’ while Greene suggests that it might be related to ‘mysterious.’
Anyway, M-theory talks of two-dimensional ‘membranes’ instead of one-dimensional
strings wrapped up in these hyperspaces. M-theorists attempt to understand
“the dimensionality of the holes in these spaces ... through which the
stings are threaded.” (Atkins, p.199) M-theory, according to Atkins,
is trying to answer the question of why there are ‘three families of particles’
in nature. The answer from the perspective of M-theory suggests that
the number of particle families is interrelated to how spacetime is compactified,
all of which has to do with higher-dimensional symmetries, and the dimensionality
of the holes in these spaces. Atkins notes, criptically, that somehow
“the number three is emerging as possibly significant.” (p. 199)
